A major new initiative will be launched this month by the JK Foundation in Mullewa. The Foundation will be working with the Mullewa District High School and the Mullewa community to run a School Attendance and Engagement program and a series of community programs. Youth Workers in Mullewa will support young men with engagement at school and partner with community groups on after-school and school-holiday activities. Ongoing workshops and support for the Mullewa Junior Football Club will see an integrated presence and connection across community life.
The school program is a partnership between the Department of Education, the Mullewa DHS and JKF and dreams of better outcomes for the young men of Mullewa.
Staff in Mullewa have been appointed and consultation and connection with various people, groups and Elders in community has begun. The Foundation hopes to be a great asset for the school and community of Mullewa.
