The JK Foundation would like to congratulate both Peyton Parfitt and Indie Comeagain for being selected for the 12 and Under Western Heat Indigenous State Team that will compete in the Gold Coast in January 2023. Both are talented athlete residing in Geraldton, and hope that this experience will be a steppingstone to not just play against the best in Australia but to showcase their skills. Both Indie and Peyton one day hope to play for the Diamonds, the Australian Netball team.
The coach and team manager Katrina Abraham had high praise for the two Geraldton based girls “Both girls have shown great promise. We are excited to see Peyton and Indie showcase their skills against the very best. Both girls have bright futures ahead of them!”
The JK Foundation is proud to have partnered with the Geraldton Sporting Aboriginal Corporation to provide invaluable support, that supports the family to travel to and from trainings, travel costs to Queensland, Team Uniform and equipment to be the best they can be. Both girls have clear goals over the next twelve months with their priorities being education, mental health, diet, physical preparation, travel, equipment and additional coaching.
We wish Indie, Peyton and the Western Heat Netball Team the best of luck in January.
